BRIAN ASHER ALHADEFF is an internationally recognized symphonic and operatic conductor. An exciting, captivating presence in concert halls, his conducting style is virtuosic and exuberant, clear and embracing. On the podium, Alhadeff is a young vibrant maestro engaging audiences with a unique, modern style of audience interaction, frequently utilizing seamless integration of cutting edge audio and visual technology. Guest conducting engagements have included Southern Arizona Symphony Orchestra, Tulsa Ballet, Karlove Vary Sinfonie (Czech Republic), Albanian National Radio and Television Orchestra (RTSH), University of California, Los Angeles Opera Program, New Valley Symphony, South Florida Opera Company, Eastern Sierra Symphony, Bourgas State Opera (Bulgaria), Rio Hondo Symphony, St. Cloud Symphony and Long Beach Opera to name a few. He has served as Music Director for, the Chinese Cultural Center of San Francisco, Intimate Opera Company, Opera Pasadena, Grand Valley State University Opera Theater, Grand Valley State University Musical Theater, Grand Valley State University Ballet, and California State University of Los Angeles Opera Theater. Alhadeff also served as the Artistic and Music Director of the Hradec Kralove International Summer Opera Festival (Czech Republic) in conjunction with the Eastern Bohemian Philharmonic (Filharmonie Hradec Kralove) and the Prague State Opera and Ballet. Past positions have included Principal Conductor for Ballet Tucson, Associate Conductor of the Beverly Hills Symphony, and Associate Conductor of Opera San Luis Obispo. Alhadeff has served on the vocal and conducting faculty for Symphonic Workshops LTD International Opera Workshop, and as a university professor, he has served on the faculty of La Sierra University (Riverside, CA.), Grand Valley State University (Grand Rapids, MI.), and was a Graduate Teaching Associate at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Maestro Alhadeff is an American born citizen of Italian and Spanish descent raised in Southern California. Alhadeff received his Bachelor of Arts in orchestral conducting from Loyola Marymount University (Los Angeles), a Masters of Music in orchestral and operatic conducting from California State University of Los Angeles, and a Doctorate of Musical Arts in orchestral conducting from UCLA. |
